Guest username
Hi all, finally got round to ordering our new roof last week and it arrived today. The company we bought from is based inGermany and from the badly translated listings we've seen they appear to have connections with Karmann and at the very least, original drawings/templates for lots of cabriolet roof skins. Anyway, we bought a fairly cheap one (funds are tight) but not the cheapest, think it was about £160 delivered and it got here this morning. The packing could have been better considering the distance it had to travel but then again it's highly possible (given the Europe fiasco) that customs had a root round and repacked it themselves. The roof skin itself looks and feels great though, on throwing it over the car & eyeballing I'd say every seam/weld/stitch is within a couple of mm of the no-doubt original item we ran into the absolute ground. Will add pics when I can upload them, but for now I'm off to fit a new bumper to our 206 and then time permitting clear the garage out and make a start on removing the old roof
gingergman
Good luck with it, you'll have fun! Be worth it when done, a decent roof transforms a car
