Guest DRP091010
My Aerial will not go up and down. I have a replacement Sony head unit but when switched on, it will not work. When I have tested the aerial it works. Any ideas?
allblue
If you aerial actually works, it could only be a broken connection somewhere in the loom. Given you have an aftermarket headunit, are all the wires at the back of unit connected correctly?
Guest DRP091010
They all appear to be connected. I couldn't find any broken wires etc, so I was going to run a switch to operate. Do you think this would be a good bet? Not great at wiring and stuff like that, but always try.
Vincygav
It should be the blue wire coming out of the headunit. Test it to see if it gives out voltage when you turn the headunit on.
Skittles80
On the sony there's a switch you press once or twice for it the idea is if your a tart like me you can listen to CDs and the aerial will stay down I am away at moement but will have look which button it is when I get home tommow night I like this feature that's why I got a sony head unit mark
Guest DRP091010
I have just changed the head unit to a double din scree which looks awesome, but I am having the same trouble. I was thinking of putting in a switch as all the wires are connected properly and everything else is working fine. Just got to work out where to put the switch.
