Guest clyde
Hello all! I require an offside rear wheel bearing and hub/housing for my 1994 Escort cabriolet registration number L484 VPO. I can find the bearing but not the housing and am unsure as to whether you call it a hub or drum or whatever. I have a photo of all the parts I require if that might help. Can anyone help me please?kind regardsCydeTel: 07799 105039
Guest martinkettering
If its standard you have drums fitted, new bearing can cost from £13 upwards, easy job to do but dont damage the drum when tapping out the race bearings, should take about 40mins if its your 1st time doing it. Guest Lee81
Drums are available from most motor factors along with the bearing. The stub axle isn't as available anymore. Assume you have a cracked / scored item. Scrap yards or ebay are best but there are places on ebay selling them. Stub axle ( Little expensive i'd epect to pay £10 at most in scrapyard ) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-ESCORT-MK6-1996-2001-REAR-STUB-AXLE-/271332512245?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f2cad91f5#ht_1882wt_1332

Guest martinkettering
The reg you put up says it was fitted with drums,so somebody has changed rear brakes at some point.
