Guest Smiler
Have you noticed much of a decline in proper performance (i.e. at normal listening levels) since the change?
Guest mass1v
Have you noticed much of a decline in proper performance (i.e. at normal listening levels) since the change? Â There is quite a change in the quailty of sound and performance. The mid range sound is still good as it has got 1 set of 6x9's and components in the doors and another set of 6x9's in the rear pods The low range bass is so different going from 2 x 12" subs and 2 x 10" subs just to 1. Still setting the sound up though as i only finnished it the other night. But now i have the space for the baby seat in the back.
Guest mass1v
Cab must be a goodun otherwise it would have shaken to bits by now. Â Lol It has been in so many bits over the years i have had it always doing someting up as its rattled loose. Its a C Reg like yours, Its only been welded 3 times mk3's always seem to be built with more underseal Even though it looks like a mk4 its still mk3 underneath
Guest Smiler
6x9's in the wobbly rear pods? That can't have sounded too great surely. Â edit - Sorry, just had another look at the photos and seen how they were mounted. Edited November 9, 2011 by Smiler
Guest mass1v
Well the Sony sub took a turn for the worse today coil melted at full volume oops . Had a look in my loft and found a choice of replacement :- 10" kicker square 15" kicker comp or 12" infinity perfect with changeable port just got to decide :-/
Guest mass1v
Went for the 15" kicker mounted backwards so i can see the magnet when i get my roof cover out . Somehow i dont think i will be fitting the shopping in though.

Guest mass1v
you using those door cards? Â yes sorry they are adapted mk3 door cards took me a long time to find them instead of the grey with blue piping . 90 spec turbo seats looked funny with them. Even though it looks like a mk4 it still is a mk3.
