Well further testing has revealed that has been cured but now the car, not too sure how to explain it, at times you'll be getting to top rev's and the car will feel like it stalls but it hasn't, it's more a total loss of power, sometimes preceded by a misfire.

It happened before the new ISCV too so i'm expanding the fault finding to the engine speed sensor and the DIS module, if that don't do anything i guess i should swap ECU's before i get a new ISCV, which will probably cure all the faults and more but if a patent 1 is £92 i dread to think what ford will want.

Oh well, have a nice sunday everbody, i'm off to tinker with the cars

Hi all, short hand tonight,

New crank sensor (intermotor) no choice, might be faulty

New gen ford iscv (mine was hf cabi mk4, hf xr2i)

Swapped altenator for spare, found tensioning bracket not connected to bracket on block due to snapped bolt

Swapped entire bracket

Sunday

Took out lady friend, car ran like shit.

Monday

Turned up at ford parts for the 2nd time that day now with entire spare throttle bodies and inlet manifold

Ordered ACT sensor, almost fell over when i was handed the mani water temp sensor they had in stock?!?!?!?

New Bosch Super 4's

And 1 Honking great Exide Battery

No more jump starts for me

Have done a few other bit n pieces,

Fitted the heated rear screen cables from Bulldog

Fitted an electric ariel using the mounting parts from Bulldog once again

Have finally this evening fitted the water temp sensor, not before flushing the system and dropping the heater box again?!?

Totally knackered, can't even be bothered to refill the coolant and run her up,

deal with it tomorrow, if this doesn't do the trick i think i'll do the inlet mani gasket 4 new plus iscv same, then b4 or after the edis module off bulldog to see of that does nething.

Oh well, we'll see tomorrow.

I figured it out

Dodgy earth to TPS sensor caused by plug refitting (not me) with single crimp connectors near to loom

Don't i feel a prat, never saw the bulge in the tape til i jiggled the wire and the revs shot up

But her ladyship now works correctly, and as the fuel tank got dropped alan and i found 2 kinks in the fuel feed pipe from the fuel pump too

Sooo........

:banana_dance: :banana_dance: :banana_dance: :banana_dance: :banana_dance: :banana_dance:

Now to drop 2 engines, possibly 3, cut up the spare car and get her ladyship jigged, still a fair way to go.

watch out for the bosch super 4 plugs i've ran those and come across others.

They affect the tune of engine slightly over normal plugs timing wise. Also seen a few coil problems after they have been in place for few months.

I'm not holding my breath, lmao

Still have a Stealth to be repaired,

My mechanic John is going to drop the lump on the SE and leave it as a rolling shell with interior n no front bumper

Then comes the jigging  bit nervous about that

If all goes well and i can afford it her Ladyship will be off to have her bodywork looked at and well, i don't know whats going to happen there, the paints not standard, car has most definately had a full strip down and respray at some point in her life and i have no idea what the colour is, paint code is SX0 i think and i can't find it on the paint code info on here

That's the plan at this point up to engine's  will be interesting to see how much i stick to it, lol
