Guest Alanman
They are here and they're huge. They are going to be epic and awsome all at the same time. Yes, the suspension is as close as it looks. I will need to tie the handbreak cable back a little more too as its currently fouling. lol. And dont let the huge arch fool you, these will fill them sweet when the 305 30 19 tyres are on. woop woop I think they sit just right, but if we want to be in with the cool kid we can jsut add a little spacer. We'll see. mwahahaha I cant wait till next year. Alanman

Guest Alanman
Thanks Just another one. This one shows a bit more, but the photos dont do show how big they are at all. As soon as the tyres are on, and on the car all propper like, that'll should then give the full picture.

Guest Alanman
I've order some flush fit valves today, so as soon as they come, they'll be going on. Although there's no big rush seeing as we've only got the rear at the minute. lol. I do want to get the tyres on asap just to see how close they really are. lol. Guest Alanman
Oh my god. I dont think sitting on the knee of a fat beardy guy with a red suit could get me this excited. They'll be going on tonight so that'll be when we see the final look. Expect photos tomorrow.

Guest Alanman
Well, they're on. And they look wicked. I recon they need approx 10mm more poke. Main reason they are just too close to things at the back edge. lol. 10mm will sort that out and 10mm extra poke is not a bad thing anyway. lol. This one just shows how f'in big they are against the old 20" chrome alloy. lol.

Guest Alanman
Hi mate. Sorry for late responce. The suspension is standard gas legs with uprated springs. Then the springs have the adjustable type caravan assisters to make it that bit harder (and a bit higher). The wheels have been made the correct ET. Not sure what that is because they dont do it like that, they just put bigger outer dishes on but they'll be approx -70ET but thats just a guess. The car itself has had the original outer rear arches cut away and hammered up rewelded to the inner arch. It aint pritty but it does a job and has been like that for the last 14 years. Plus its been to about 4 or 5 different MOT stations over that time and not one has ever queried it so it cant be that bad. lol. I have thought about having them tubbed to give more clearence and allow us to go lower, but that seems a lot of effort and what would we gain, 2" lower? Doesnt seem worth it. Front are standard legs and uprated springs. The bulk-head had the same 'cut, hammer, and weld' treatment to give us full lock and the room needed for the 20s. Who needs a footwell anyway. lol. There's no metal arches, just the wider fibreglass ones. Believe it or not, the ride quality is pritty good, yes its a little hard, but that to be expected. We have full lock, and no rubbing. Not many modded cars can say that.

Guest Alanman
It's get close to the time to start thinking about ordering the fronts to go with the backs so i took a chrome off the front last night to see what room we have for the new wheels. Tofind a little bit of a problem. We were thinking we were able to have about 10j but looks like we can't go so wide on front. The 20s, although huge are only 8.5j and there's less than 1 inch room at the back against the coil spring so looks like we're stuck with 8.5j. Boooooo Smaller wheels would be okay because they look like they'd go UNDER the coil spring therfore allowing to go wider. So the stooopid big wheels have restricted the width. lol. Thankfully there's plenty of room at the front so looks like we can have about a 3 inch lip. So that should make us feel a bit better about the width.
