Guest murcus
lowered on bilstein adjustables,, 60ml at front 40ml at back rs turbo alloys, and 90 spec interior im planning, stripping the engine bay and painting it, to make it nice and fresh to begin with then, once the rs turbo engine is fitted ill paint the rest of the body the donor had 84k miles on it, but my cabby needs more power and needs must standard apart from scorpion exhaust and dumpvalve i like the reg tbh ok so the only thing it had was a whining thrust bearing, but ill change the clutch before i install the engine, depending on funds i might replace the rings and shells, just whilst its out, as i have bought a piper 285t2 cam for it, which ill be putting in, and an evo chip but ill try and keep with the updates

Guest murcus
yes, think they are great, would love a mk2, but no time or space to build one do like the mk3, but prefer the mk4, although i would have mk3 dials ans skirts on a mk4 and the fact they all came in white apart from the diana one would have either one of my mates last mk4 ran 1800 zetec with megasquirt management tt stage 2 turbo airtek intercooler, was an absolute animal, also mtx75 gearbox, but in order to make the mounts fit, the chassis leg had to be moved over about 5 inches
Guest jonnyrsturbo
i likes that i wish i never broke mine either
Guest murcus
sometimes you just have to, the cabby in std form was too boaring for me tbh, it handles well being lowered on bilstein adjustables but with a full car, the most i got was 113, on my own i had 120 my black rst in the pic above, it goes off the clock at 140 ( on private road ) but will have to get motivated ( and stop doing so mouch projects at once ) currently still doing bits to my punto gt turbo (gt3) the one pictured with my mates rs turbo i have owned it for 4 years mods: full powerflow 3" system, seb 2 chip, bleed valve ( boost upped to 17psi ), bonalum boost pipe, dumpvalve, koni adjustables, , 16" alloys rear tinted windows ( naughty but nice ) on them i have bought bought but not fitted pace front mount intercooler, stainless steel pipes from intercooler to turbo, gt1 low compression head, piper custom cam, fse piper timing pully, just saving for tt stage 2 turbo or gt25r then it will be over 200bhp from a 1400 engine! just finished welding new arches and sills to my cav gsi - it failed mot on 2 patches in the sills, so i just put on sill covers and with the abs light, i have checked the sensors, i think 2 needs replaced but i have a batter way to bypass ( pulling out the bulb will not pass the mot, but......................wiring it to engine management light will.....) Escort Cabriolet Club
Some dodgey tints on that Black Mk4 but it don't half look good !!!
Guest murcus
its needing an mot, i aint used it for about 6 months, but when i used it i got stopped loads with the windows so dark, every one apart from winscreen is tinted limo black, but whilst driving about in daytime, i put the 2 front ones down, cause tbh you cant see much out of them, but i like the look thats the only way i keep it like that, i aint sure where the lasnd lies with mot, ill prob just put the windows down, that way they cant fail them
Guest murcus
ok so its been a while since i last looked at the cabby, so me and my mate started stripping off the heater motor, the radiator, and any cooland pipes, started sorting out the loom and took off bumper, ive still to take out gear box and driveshafts, wish id taken them out sooner, but nevermind a few pics:

Guest murcus
soon be ready for sanding, theres a few wee bits on the front cross member i might have to weld 2 corners about 50 pence size, but apart from that, everything is solid
Escort Cabriolet Club
Great pics mate !!! As for the tints, just change them to a lighter smoke, a good look it may be but the Rozzers will make you take it off if your unlucky, seen it done too many times arround here !!! Guest dee1orean
Looking good mate... Seems to have a lot less rust than mine pmsl!! Is it just the engine swap you're doing or do you have any other mods planned?
Guest murcus
i quite like the square shape of the mk4, so no silly kits , im adding s2 sideskirts, if i picked up s1, id put them on, ill put on 90 spec front bumper, i have bought an impreza rear spoiler, not one of the big ones, but one off the bug eye model, its low, but has retro look, and its different, and not seen anyone else with one on rs turbo bonnet, its already got bilstein adjustables, i might airbrush a pulse line into the back quarter once its painted in basecoat but not doing any smoothing, or body mods, if i were id prob graft z3 fins in to the wings, or mr2 back ducts into the rear quarters, just want it to look like the rs turbo cab, ford should have built, but with the power to go with it in std form the rs turbo's are boaring to drive
