Guest l183ohl Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 ive just bought a l reg cab 1.8si 16v and it s bouncing round like i dont know what at the rear end to a point where i totally loose traction at the back and it steps out on corners its on 14" wheeels and 195/75/r14 tyres ive bought it as a doer upper and wonder what would be the best thing to cure this many thanx . paul Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest markeyboy Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 have a look at the rear shocks to see if they are leaking, or its had a dodgy mod done to it at some time in its life if they are leaking then the best thing to do is to get them replaced with standard set (can usually find these on ebay) if ya doing the cab up weitec do height adjustable coilover kit for around 300 quid Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Haddow Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 sounds like either fractured springs or leaking shocks and theyre goosed... get it checked before it steps out on the wrong time and u get killed mate...... as stated above height adjustables are the top stuff, but for £300 i'd be questioning weitec's condition of their applications as thats mega mega cheap for coilovers. see what your budget allows and then go from there in deciding what u want to do.
