If you replace any components like that then always get the tracking done by a pro mate !!!

I have -40mm springs on my late Mk5 sI and when the tracking was set (after fitting new lower arms) I found that the inside edges of the front tyres wore quickly. I only just caught them in time to swap them legally to the rear (since MOTed OK). I have been adjusting the tracking myself to give less toe-out. I do it by shortening the rack arm on each side by one quarter of a turn at a time. I've done this twice so far and the front tyres now seem to be wearing evenly. Having said that I'm still buying cheap tyres until I'm sure of getting a decent life out of them. The last ones I changed had lasted only 3k. I'd bought cheap lower arms- the bushes only lasted about six months on those. The tyres turning into slicks coincided with a winter trip to Paris in the snow- interesting!!! The upside was that my bean can exhaust sounded great in the tunnels.

Cheers

Ian

hi

Standard setting is +2

you may find you still get wear, if so you'll need to sort out your camber angle...

i gess you can get adjustable top mount's but not to sure for escorts
