Looking to replace my suspension on my Mk6 Cabriolet, would like to replace using a Gmax setup, but i just cant get a kit for the cabriolet....just keeps coming up with All Models Excl. Cabriolet/Estate and even GTI So, does anyone know why it excludes these models, is it down to fittings or down to the weight. Could i just get a kit for the Mk6 and use it, would i have any problems.

Thanks Kev

The Mk6 does not like these kind of kits, most of the Mk6 owners on here went back to standard !!!

I myself have gone with all new GTi Suspention, due to the rear beam disc conversion the front sat higher so it needed front lowering springs, handles a lot better and sits nice !!!

Guest Haddow

please dont fit GMAX, theyre not at the best reputation after passing off reconditioned models for brand new and reboxing them again!

i'll be researching up suspension kits that fit convertibles for all makes very soon and will post up results for them for anyone interested. i know there are coilover kits out there for sure as a mates YB engine'd one is running them, will check up for those not in a position to change rear axles etc.

Hi Mark

Thanks for the link, the kits seems to be ok, rave reviews on the cupra forum...im very tempted, very tempted! as ive found the previous owner had put only 3 coilovers and a standard shock on the rear on mine :icon_cry: so it all needs changing lol

Ill let you know how i get on mate

Haddow that would be interesting reading for other members, ill stay away from GMax then

Thanks Kev
