you should be able to do a direct swap from non powered to powerd without to amy issues, pretty sure everything is a direct fit

if ya havnt got ur 1.6 engine it may be worth buying a mk5 with the engine you want and power steering there should be some about destinded for the scrap heap (assuming they aint all been traded in for 2k off a new moter)

failing that the breakers yard would probably be ur best bet, unsure on price tho

CVH with Ford v v carb (not great, carb i mean!).

Surely better puttin a 1.8 1.6v Zetec in it ?

Clean all the breathers out while its on the deck ,lots easier !

ok thanks reason why i got that engine is because mine poured oil everywhere

and was slow as hell and the new 1.6 engine was of my brothers m8 so got it kind of

cheap lol. Also if i went too big wont be able to afford insurance cause im only 16 atm

17 soon tho

Thats why i'm tellin u to clean out the breathers on that engine you got cos the one of the reasons maybe why your other engine threw oil everywhere was cos of blocked breathers, i had a 1.6 efi that blew oil into the airbox and used to run down the inner wing lol !

Thats a nice dry engine u got there so should be ok but check them anyway.

Might wanna change that v v carb for a Weber at some point.
