Guest adamk
Hi, I have a MK4 cabby xr3i, And the heater works but never gets very hot, It Take 10 to 15 mins before air feels warm, and never gets any hoter, If the heat is up on windscreen or at feet its warm, but if it comes out main vents in dash its cold. Is there a tremostat in the engen to send hot water to the interier rad? If so, were it it? And would this cuase it not to heat as much.? Thanks for any help, Adam
Guest sjc
dont think there is a seperate thermostat, i think the hot/cold dial simple opens or closes a cover on the inner rad, you can see it if you take the blower motor out. Guest markeyboy
it may be worth a check that the internals of the thermostat are still in (thatl cause it not to get very hot and take a while to walm upwhen it eventually does)

Guest adamk
OK. I got a new termostats, as the old 1 was stuck, had it in a pot of boiling water and it never opend and gave the car a complet water flush, left hose in it for a few hours with rad feed pipe off. And its all sorted now, Thanks
