Guest marcus
Tha ABS warning lamp is part of the mot test, if the light stays on its telling you that there is a fault in the system. Mk 4 system is very basic and works from the information it recieves from the 2 perpulators that are connected to your gearbox. The normal problem is either broken belts or the switch that sits on top of the belts and can be found on the top of the perpul;ators. Or tell the NT when presenting your car for the MOT that the ABS has been removed or disabled, he should take your word for it and on testing your car issue you with a advise sheet to say that the system has been disabled and was not tested. Hope this helps a bit Steve.
ianxr3i
I'm a MOT tester & as long as the readings on the brake rollers dont show that there is a problem with the abs, it shouldn't be a fail.
