Guest dippa
well non uk cars you must first book car in for a test and the tester will issue a new mot with either german reg number or chassis number then its a trip to dvla local office with all relivent paper work who will issue a new reg number for you, sounds easy but can be a pain( from dvla end)
Guest Cooderkey
Great piece of information, - thank you. I never knew this info. was available. I put in the required details for my Cabby, and it gave me the MoT info. as far back as 2005, which is when I think computerisation of MoT tests started. I am now satisfied that the mileage on my Cabby is genuine. There are a couple of sections where the dates are not continuous, but it looks like it could have been layed up for winter. I also keyed in the details for my other motor, which I have known from new, and the info. on that was only available from March 2006. This confirms that there is no prior computerised history. Thanks for putting this useful link on the board.
