Guest lutonman12 Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 hi guys any help would be appreciated ,i got a 98 mk6 and the front leg seems to be really loose!!!if i pull the wheel it moves about an inch or two (back and forward)if i got the bonnet open i can see the top nut (strut bolt?)moving too!! take it its a bush or the top mount ??any ideas??? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest SiV6Si Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 Lower arm, When the bushes in the lower arm have worn to much they give the 'Play' you have noticed. Its bolted on with 2 bolts and a 50 torx / 17 mm bolt nut combo.just under the hub. Its really easy to change. and can be done by a non competent mechanic in 30mins each side.
