Hello there,

Got my mk4 cabbie but ive done a complete rs upgrade on the brakes, rs calipers, rs discs, rs housing, the lot. Im now looking at the cossie upgrade, to get more braking for when i dump a turbo in there. Is the cossie upgrade easy to do? any tips?

nothing to it mate, all you need is the brackets to mount the callipers onto, alot of people use 4x4 (escort coz or sapphire) calipers and 2wheel drive discs, the brackets you can buy from many performance places nowadays, look in the back of fast ford for example theres a place called MAD FOR IT that sells them, ive got a willwood setup on the front of mine,as for the rear disc conversion, sierra or granada rwd calipers with brackets to mount from mad for it,rs2000 solid discs and rs2000 hand brake cable, got all this on me cabby.:drivin:

I have a mk5 3i and was wondering if the same conversion will work on the front disks of my car? I'm quite a fan of bigging up my disks prior to any other work and If I'm gonna get 17's on it I wouldn't mind having the disks behind to fill the gaps

what size are the disks on a mk5 130ps? front and back.. if I bought my shopping list beneath are they bigger or the same size?

heres my shopping list if I got uprated disks...

1 Wilwood disk/caliper brake kit from burton power 283mm with 4pot calipers

2 Wilwood fast road pads

(Or i can do red-dot 20groove disks and pads accordingly)

3 braided hoses

all from burton power

if anyone can help me out fully here - I'm itching to upgrade them now its roadworthy again but I'm just finding some of the information a big fragmented as everyone on here knows what they're on about and I'm a sock puppet
