  2. IIRC they build up pressure once the system is closed, so would only know if a guage was connected. I had a similar problem with a 1.4 Fiesta with the cvh think they called it PTE after and it was the crankshaft sensor. I had also changed it for the wrong one initially why it never worked properly. The ECU does control the fuel pump. It could possibly be the pump. You should also have the 3 pin diagnostic socket where you can plug a Gunsons fault code reader in. This would be an EECIV based system. All the fuel injected mk5 Escorts had this.
  3. It could need bleeding, is there fluid inside it. If yes, then the cog gears inside it could be worn.
  4. It would help if you mention what car and spec, does it have a cat converter etc?
  5. One is for electric windows, another is for an inhibitor, this stops you lowering and raising the roof when the car is running.
  6. With the new items are the plugs getting wet with fuel. Have you checked the fuel pump. Also do you have the correct crank position sensor and checked the firing order of the HT leads are correct. There is an EDIS unit that controls the spark signal from the ECU via the crank position sensor. This is usually mounted in the engine bay nearside wing.
  7. leak through roof edge Pics from March 2013
  8. I would try and re-post the pics, it appears tinypic has gone out of business

  13. I had posted one here years ago, but when the forum changed over, I think some files or posts were lost. It was also in an earlier version of Ford TIS
  14. Sounds like a high resistance, checking all the earths in the boot, especially near the nearside light cluster.
  15. I doubt it, pointless in doing bump. Probably gone to that big scrapyard in the sky

  17. It really depends on price. Standard models do not command as much as would a RS2000 or XR3i, what was the condition before it was not being used?
  18. The government plans to change the law on car modification to make it difficult to do certain things without being penalised. There is a consultation opened which closed on 22 November 2021 at 11:45pm, this has not been publicised for obvious reasons and in some ways can impact tuning packages that change the emissions of the car. Read about it at https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards To fill in the consultation, the direct link is at https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/ETVHG5/ Motorsport fears over car modification rule changes Plans to tighten rules on modifying cars are "ringing alarm bells", motorsport enthusiasts have warned. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-59210036 KEEPING TRACK Are car modification rules changing? 19. Is that the one that attached from the gearbox to the subframe, or the one that attaches from the top of the gearbox to the nearside inner wing.
  20. Never heard of this for the roof, I know of one on the alternator. Helps if you mention the car, engine, year etc
