  1. I got an Aerial from Halfords which is identical to the original but its not an electric one, I only had it up about 10", picked up a great signal, only problem was it rusted like a bugger so I took it off, rather have nowt than it looking like rusty crap !!! I'm going to go with a Shark Fin on the boot lid and feed the cable down the rubber neck connector !!!
  2. As long as its for your type of engine, 1.8 ZETEC for a 1.8 ZETEC, I got mine of a Tin Top and it went straight on no probs !!! I have a Stainless Straight Through Center Section for sale if your interested mate !!! :icon_salut_gb:
  3. The springs are not different, the Suspention is identical to the Tin Top Escorts but the car reacts differently due to the extra weight and chassie flex, the Mk5/Mk6 don't realy like lowering springs much, MarkeyBoy and a few other removed there lowering kits and went back to standard because of this !!! MarkeyBoy has recently fitted Coilovers and this has proven to suit the Cab better due to the stiffer support they give to counteract the cornering flex of the chassie, they were VERY cheap to, when he gets a chance he will prob list the seller off ebay !!!
  4. TOPIC RE-FRESHED AND CLEANED UP 18/09/09 !!! :icon_salut_gb: RECENTLY ADDED diggy jackocab Lee81 steven richie29gt
  5. Its coming along nicely mate, the engine bay has come up a treat, I was not fussed on that rocker cover when it was on its own but now its all fitted it works well !!! That random plug may be for the Fog Lights or the Air-Con, I know you don't have it but they might have just put the loom in !!! :icon_salut_gb:
  6. No mate it won't fit !!! If its a FULL Exhaust then its a deffinate no, if its the Back Box of an RS2000 4x4 then its another no, if its a Back Box of a Standard RS2000 then it might fit but I would just get the proper one for the Cab as the fitments are slightly different, not by much but enough for it to foul on sections !!!
  7. Bee Sting Aerials don't fit properly mate, I tried one on my old Mk5, theres too much of a curve and it sits at a silly angle, I played with the possitioning for an hour, it looked crap !!! I have an universl electric ariel for sale if you want it, the original hole needs to be made slightly bigger but its a good aerial !!!
  8. Yeah c'mon people, represent the North East with style !!!
  9. £1200 and I can post up pics if you like mate !!!
  10. No worries, you can get Zero (0) Rated Relays which illiminate that fast flash, its basicly a Relay without the warning device built in which is what the fast flash is, just to tell you theres a bulb out !!!
  11. The lights are as they come from the factory mate, there is an outer Dipped light and an inner Main Beam light, the outer also has a Side Light, when they were new you got a set of Indicators that mount in the bumper by cutting a hole but you didn't get them by the sounds of it !!! :msg3: Not to worry, there are 3 options for you !!! 1 - The inner Dipped light takes a H4 bulb which as you may or may not know has a twin filliment so it can be used for Dipped and Main Beam like the original Mk4 Escort Headlights, only the dipped function is used, just pop the wires from the Main Beam from the inner light and you can then have Dipped and Main on the Outer and put an indicator bulb into the inner light !!! 2 - Find the proper indicator units, PM Ady for a start as I seem to remember the White Mk4 he is breaking had some fitted, failing that they do pop up on ebay !!! 3 - Use a different bumper mounted indicator unit, CabbyDaz used a set of Triangular Focus Side Repeaters mounted on the front bumper of his Mk4 and Rach used a set of Mk2 Golf Side Repeaters on her Mk4, alternatively you could use these I have posted a Link for below, they can be used as Indicators and have adriving light in them too !!! LINK: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-Mk2-Crystal-Indicators-Pair-for-Big-Bumpers-NEW_W0QQitemZ110369265896QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item19b28558e8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 So you see, all is not lost, there are 3 solutions to choose from !!!
  12. I just had to replace both my Wishbones, they were £12.00 EACH !!! :wow: Criminal lol !!! :happy001:
  13. Problem was filxed like I mentioned above, it was not overfuling it was running rich, no black smoke just crap MPG's and lower end torque, all sorted now, runs nice and pulls nice !!! That was until I was playing with one of my mates MG-F 1.8vvc and my other mates ROVER 600 Ti, then I went back to my lowley underpowerd ZETEC PMSL !!! :happy001:
  14. As above, it has been done on a Mk4 Cab but it required massive amounts of custom work, it needed a custom fron slam fabricating from scratch, custom mounts, exhaust, ECU etc, for the cost its going to take you might as well Turbo a ZETEC as at least that will go in !!! Theres a lad on here trying to put a Focus RS engine in his Mk6 but its been ongoing for 18 months, thats a heck of a long time not being able to enjoy the car on the road !!! Go for a 2.0 ZETEC with some stronger internals and custom engine management like Emerald as you can do all that a lot more easily and cheaply than trying to put in an engine not ment for that car, plus its much heavyer and compomises handling !!!
  15. Mine doesn't have a low washer fluid light, posh git lol !!! :happy001:
  16. Cab looks much better than it did at the start of the year buddy !!! :icon_salut_gb: The rear lights are a bit suspect, watch your back for the Rozzers !!! I would re-concider the Mk6 Dash conversion, it requires MAJOR Choppage !!!
  17. Fantasitc pics mate, absolutly brilliant !!! I'm loving the 18" Cossy Rims, never seen them on anything in person myself, at £1200 a set i'm not suprised lol !!! :happy001: I like the RS Transit van, I would love one of them !!! Since you like the old stuff do you fancy a MINT Mk1 Fiesta ???

  24. But your not lol !!! :happy001: One of the Supervisors at Work just traded in his old Mk4 Fiesta for the New one, it was £9,995 ONR inc VAT, he got £2000 off with the scrappage program and also got £500 off due to the Bank Holiday Weekend offer, he paid £7465 in the end, BARGAIN !!!
