Well moved from Middleton Near Rochdale/Bury Lancashire to New Zealand just over 10 years ago, Worked at Manchester Garages(Ford Dealership) as a mechanic many years ago left there to be a lorry driver as I like being outside and not in. did that for 10 years and then was a mobile mechanic around the Greater Manchester area for 11 years, The reason I moved to NZ was that bloody motorway around Manchester was always gridlocked if there was an accident anywhere on the motorway network, got stuck 3 times in one week for over 2 hours and kept letting customers down as I could not get to them, so got home one day and said to wife get a job in NZ we moving sick of this traffic problem every day, she found a job that night as ward manager at the hospital here in Dunedin, sold my mobile mechanic business/house and in 6 weeks we were in NZ

Own and run a small transport business(owner driver) on contract to Mainfright transport company for last 10 years.

Try and get away in our Motorhome as often as we can and will be towing the Cabby behind us when its back on the road.

Do miss the social life from the UK, pubs bit boring here and have to travel approx 10 miles to get to the Duke of Wellington English pub.
