welshlad Posted March 26, 2015 Author Share Posted March 26, 2015 Mission aborted for now as im having a moment or two First i tightened the engine mount up too much and the bolt snapped and then i tightened the crank pulley to tight and then bust it again in frustration. All because i didnt want to drop the block, it now looks like im gonna have to do that now, which isnt much hassle as the rad is out and the head is off etc. On a good note tho i mayaswell change the clutch whilst its out to save changing it at a later date Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
welshlad Posted April 4, 2015 Author Share Posted April 4, 2015 Took block off yesterday to find out that the clutch was nearly non existent and a spring was snapped, how it was running ok i dnt know! found a few more issues too, light bit of rust here and there, not too bad tho ill take some pics tomoz and the gear box need a good clean inside the bell housing, prob got another dodgy crank oil seal on that side. Clutch should be here tomoz and ive give the engine and engine bay a good jet wash today so its nice n clean. mayaswell buy some paint now and paint the block methinks hopefully ill be pottering about in it next week but it will be rough looking for now and with the crappy alloys i already have on it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also measured out a standard pallet size, took my seats apart and stacked em neatly to measure it all up for a USHIP quote to Mondo (hidenseat) Wheels if anyone wants them pick up only from wrexham north wales x4 with caps need a refurb/spraying 4th one has a legal tyre all others are bald Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
