its looking like it is at mo as ive been stocking up on new parts (headlights, wheels, stereo system, new alarm etc etc ) and ive been doing the mechanical things like new tcas, rear tie bars, new shocks n springs, new discs, bushes, etc etc nows the time to do the exterior and interior. My interior is going to be done by Mondo (Hide n seat) in black and red leather  as for the respray im possibly doing it myself but i might change my mind if time starts running out lol. And the mohair hood ive got ordered ill fit that myself. Gonna get it on my back garden tomoz and take the front bumper off to see how it looks etc

Bit of surface rust nothing major tho  although i have found out that i have a leak from the alternator pulley  and ive had to take the manifold off to change the gasket so i may aswell change the head gasket and cam belt while its off  (got a spare engine with a new head gasket and cam in it but cant be arsed dropping that in) not sure whether to buy some new inlet/outlet valves as they feel a bit crispy through the exhaust outlet holes hmmm? wanna keep the original cvh in it if i can being as everything else is non standard, although a frst cvh engine would be nice

Found out that my front bumper had a fibreglass bodge behind it, i needed a new thermostat and gasket, my manifold had a snapped stud bolt and my alternator positive lead could be corroded internally and also i had thick sludgy oil everywere great fun!! most of these probs tho i should have found out by now, ive just been to lazy i think.

On a good note tho i had a spare manifold off my spare engine, ive already got gaskets for everywere that i stockpiled a while back, ill end up sorting out my intermittant starting prob forever (hopefully) and my engine bay will rust/oil free at last when ive finished

Got a mfi petrol tank in the pic (non original) was new when i bought it but had surface rust, wired brushed it, brushed it with Vactan and then black undersealed it, it still has surface rust spots where ive nocked it moving it about etc but its still a good tank. Anyone want it for FREE pick up in wrexham north wales or you pay me the postage through paypal etc

Thanks, stressed me out a little earlier as the crank pulley wouldnt come off, whacked it with hammer, had crow bar on it and all sorts. Eventually when i was giving up it fell off ha ha

Just added all my receipts up from over the past 3 and half years and my car with all the new/old spares and my new wheels/tyres owes the me the grand total of......

£2,878.97

Not bad considering the escort cosworth wheels and tyres owe me £800 and ive got a spare cab in parts apart from shell/hood and driveshafts  it will be going up tho as my seats are gonna cost me £1400 and i still need to respray it  still though it will be under 5 grand and it will be how i want it :banana_dance:

###ing crank timing belt pulley wont come off now, had a similar issue with the alternator pulley GRRRRRRR!!!! might just smash it off with the oil pump

On a good note tho the original head gasket wasnt too bad, prob had a thousand miles or so left in it, and the piston crowns and valves were not as crispy as i thought they would be, getting there slowly! but keep on finding extra jobs to add to the list

Crank pulley i smashed off  was much easier than getting all stressed over it lol, and i jizzed all over my engine to get rid of all the gunk.

Never had a cvh rocker gasket with these little silver metal pellet things before hmmm and i thought id ordered a rubber one

new temp sensor in pic too, got rocker gasket, temp sensor, thermostat and three spare exhaust rubbers for £16 of GSF car parts bargain!!

Oh and few pics of my cheeky new puppy called Eira, pain in the arse when she runs of with nuts and bolts lol

Tightened my engine mount up a bit too much after sliding the oil pump back on and ive bust it GRRR! my own fault tho as i only ever use a torque wrench for head bolts

Your crank timing pulley looks like mine when my bottom end got striped, they can be an utter pig without a pulling tool.

The little silver pellets that came with your rocker gasket are really important, and as far as i found aren't on the gen ford one's anymore as i tried to buy one the other week, the gaskets that don't have them tend to leak.

Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

Everything's coming on nicely

cool thats nice to know, wanted a rubber one but if these are better thats great

http://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/engine-parts/cylinder-head/rocker-cover-gasket £4.32 free delivery

if you sign up to them you get discount codes, usually for weekends etc had a few things off them the last couple of years

I take it theres two sets of pellets for when you next take the cover off etc?
