nicholas
Can anyone tell me the correct name for the pipe/tube that goes across behind the rad, left to right, seems to be connected to the heater pipe flexi. Its a 1990/91 German built Mk 4, 1.8 ltr Xr3i. (Lived in Spain all its life, no rust, anywhere! Except this pipe I'm looking for, rusty leaking pipe!). Where can I get one or should I fabricate one. Its leaking at the join where the heater pipe connects. Hope someone can help me. Part number? Still available? Etc. Etc. many thanks, Nick. nicholas
Difficult to get any visible photo of the pipe, its well hidden between the engine and the rad. Starts on the left side, goes maybe three quarters of the way across the rad, 'T's off to the heater,, not sure where it then connects to. Car is in Spain, I am in Ireland! We'll meet again, September! Hoping to bring new rad with me, rad on car is obviously too small anyway, I think its for a 1.6 mine is 1.8 I dont have the correct fittings for it either, at the moment it has 'long' bolts holding it to the crossmember, obviously the rad is too small for the car, and lacking rubber mounts etc. Nick.
