Guest Smiler
I've just been looking through ebay and help but notice some strong money being asked for mk3 & 4 Escort cabrios. Ok, a lot of them were classified adds with perhaps the sellers own 'pie in the sky' idea as to the cars value but some are in auction and still starting to make good figures. Has the time of the 'hairdresser' Escort Cab finally arrived?
zygott
eBay are a lot more expensive than other places. been looking for a mk4 for a couple of weeks. 2 or 3 rolling resto projects have sold on gumtree/autotrader for less than £1 but there are cars on ebay for double that needing work, i have only waited 25 years or so for one so a few days more wont kill me, wife might depending on how much i spend... allblue
All good news for us mk4 owners. RS prices are silly. But classic car prices have been rising overall, no doubt affluent investors seeking the classic car market for better returns than elsewhere (market turmoils, low interest rates). Buying now with high prices is a bit of a risk. I'm watching an all blue coming to auction next month, 36K miles, guide price 5.5K. Back in 2000/01, same car with same mileage would have been approx 3.5K. I have autotrader ads from that period! RScab
I'm struggling to see an Escort cab as an investment... Don't think the Cab would be the best investment TBH S1 & S2 Turbo's then XR3i Tintop's would be my choice But Cab Values are on the up and it you get minter you'll not lose any money and will get a return over the next few years
