New Hood Fitting

Hi,

So now my resto is finally on the 'put back' rather than 'take off' phase I'm considering changing my hood as it has some stubborn stains that won't seem to lift (it's white)

Now I know people say it's a pain to do, but I've had a look on here and can't seem to find a tutorial (only one for changing the whole roof & frame).

Anyone know if one exists?

hi jon

I did think about having a go when I did my resto but bottled it and had it fitted . been told with a staple gun and some good glue its not a hard job

but if you mess it up its gonna cost you

best thing to do is strip yours down to bare bones and you can see how much work is involved

good luck

regards Ollie

It's not that bad I've done 2 one mine with a bit of help from a mate. I used evo stick contact adhesive and a staple gun. Only thing I will say is don't rush take as long as it takes and don't scrimp on the staple gun get a good heavy duty one as the rubber round the rear screen is hard. An air powered or electric staple gun would be best.
