chaz
When mine went over a year ago it was not the cable but a very small gromet that holds the cable in the slot near the release latch , I suppose it got brittle after 31 years. Since my bonnet opened but the latch did not fully release bonnet, I had to remove the front bumper got my hand between the partly opened bonnet and the slam panel and pushed down the grill clips to remove it, the bumper had to be removed because the grill could not be lifted off with the bumper in place. Guest moondancer
Hi all, just got back on site after a traumatic few months to say the least, I am now back to my escort cabriolet bonnet release problem, the wire to the bonnet release has come adrift or stretched , tried various things to no avail , thought about using a trolley jack to get underneath and try to locate the release wire , any other ideas !!! It is a good condition 1989 escort xr3i cabriolet 66k white. Moondancer
