Guest pimmy1927 Posted March 25, 2015 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Hi guys and gals, please someone help I'm pulling my hair out (and I aint got much !!! ) Got a 1987 MK4 xr3i cab mfi which I parked up a few nights ago running fine. Went to start it the next morning and it wouldn't start, turns over fine but won't fire. I've replaced the fuel pump, relay and metering head and now when I turn the ignition the fuel pump primes but car won't fire but if I remove the fuel relay the car will fire up but as soon as I replace the fuel relay it cuts out and won't restart unless I again remove the relay.
