allblue
Last weekend was moving offcuts of leylandii. Thought I'd put the cabrio to good and unique use. Btw, it could pass off as a xmas tree (wait, that has given me thoughts ).

allblue
LOL, Ian, think I must be! Fuel consumption went out the window that day I tell ya, Skittles, you want to be keeping that car clean, it's a tidy one that. But that is the good thing about cabrios - get the roof down and you can cram in lots more. I spent Tuesday removing all of the needles from inside the car, so you;re in for a fun time cleaning yours.

allblue
Indeed it is. Used generally for transporting my bike to cycle events.
Guest Xr3iInUS
Found it! When I saw this in December I thought you just stuffed the tree in the car, I didn't see the rack. Do you have to remove the entire rack to operate the hood? Or just the crossbars? I also bike and considered seeing if my old boot rack will fit if I need to bring a bike anywhere with that car. allblue
Hi, No, the rack is hinged at the front so you bring it up to lower and close the roof. No need to remove anything. Do a search for VW Cabrio roof racks and there are a few American forums with the vw Golf cabrio version. The Ford version operates more or less the same. But is better built and can carry an heavier load. In the summer this is how my bike gets carried. Not on a rainy day though
allblue
You can get a MK3/4 cabrio version, but much harder to find and you have to drill holes in your car, as with the Vw's, to fit it.
Guest Xr3iInUS
Thanks for the great pic! I have a MK3, so maybe the trunk rack will have to do. I mostly mountain bike so mud above the interior would not be so cool!
Guest El87cabi
Fcuking love it lmao, the way is cabriolet As by the looks of thing's your already a master of moving i'm sure you can guess how a mate and i moved a double bed with 2 cabi's, being a tall lad i was a bit restricted for legroom during transport but that was only due to being too lazy to strap the base half i was moving down!
