Guest mrsters2000
thanks for that info, sorry long time replying ,but i,ve been working on it every second i get. the blue box you mention is green on this car and guess what? the big long multi plug was not plugged in at all... so i fixed that and hey presdo STILL THE SAME ..!is it worth cleaning up the conections that go into the fuse box from underneath. spotted that someone had cut the BLACK wire and the BLACK with YELLOW stripe wires that go to the ignition switch and joined em wrong [bLACK TO BLACK/YELLOW and BLACK/YELLOW to BLACK ] put them back properly then the car would turn over but not start..! ive a feelin this car hates mm, might give up and get me mk2 out ;}
Guest mrsters2000
Been away to " SKEGG VEGAS" last week, came home Sat. To find the green control box I got off eBay had arrived, fitted it and it has nearly cured the dash lights staying on! Now only one stays on, must still be a bad earth. Taking it for it's mot later. Fingers crossed! I will try to put some pics up later ( if I can figure out how, totally useless on computers) give me a socket set any day! Himanshu
This is most likely to an earth (ground) fault. Get a competent auto electrician they usually charge £50 p/hr. but it might be £50 well spent. These cars had a history of poor earthing problems.
