Guest POL2Y
I have hadmy 1997 Mk 6 Ghia Cab since Aug 2006 and the mileage is now at 133+k, so when I spotted its near twin locally, with under 70k on the clock I managed to buy it. So at the moment I own both, wondering whether to SORN the first one (to use as a donor for spares - it's had lots of new parts) or to sell it, but at the moment have lent to a friend so she can have some summer fun. My POL 2Y plate is now on SaRA....
Skittles80
If it got no major issues I would sell it may be even the friend borrowing it may buy it I believe in keeping them on the road rather than breaking them or less they are rotten

Guest POL2Y
Yes that's why I lent it to my friend - but unfortunately she hasn't got the money to buy it - or any other car which is why I lent it to her in the first place....anyway MOT booked for the new one at the beginning of September, so we'll see what happens then....but I'm always open to offers....:-)
allblue
Nice looking pair of cabs. Â Is that imperial blue? I like this colour on the Mk5/6 cabbies.
Guest POL2Y
Yes they are both "Imperial Blue" - have seen several others about the same colour...when the MOT ran out on the "old" one I SORNed it, and it is living happily in a friend's heated barn with her classic car (somewhat older than an R-reg!). I go and drive it regularly, luckily her drive is about a mile long....the "new" one is now just gone over 81k and fast approaching the mileage the old one had when I bought it in Aug 2006....
