Admin Ollie Posted April 11, 2014 Admin Share Posted April 11, 2014 some of you will no this cabriolet from the shows and meets its been there pride n joy for a few years now and after a few problems with it over the last year or two it had finally been taken off the road . as the list got longer and longer it was sorned and parked up near there house and after a few visits to the club stand without there cabby chatting about getting it back on the road we came up with a plan to get it in a garage and store it for a bit down my way as storage is a bit cheaper than where they lived well many months passed and it still sat at there place as time went by the cabby started getting keyed and scratched ..lucky enough the hood has stayed untouched and the bodywork has not been dented .so they decided to get rid as it was getting to the point of gonna be worth scrap (far to good for that or breaking ) I am friends with dave and terri on facebook and saw they had put it for sale on the xr club and see a few people interested in it so sent dave a message and said if they want it gone I would take it . ( alice not to happy lol ) well thanks to bigjon who picked it up for me last night and arrived back at mine in the early hours this morning . I am not gonna keep it but I am going to give it a fresh coat of paint and give it a good tidy up and then sell it to keep another one alive .. maybe even dave n terri can buy it back few piccys for you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Admin Ollie Posted May 7, 2014 Author Admin Share Posted May 7, 2014 Just thought I would update you all on this cabriolet a week ago a local lad saw me tinkering with it outside the garage and he said he was promised a car pretty much the same as this and was let down . so after speaking to him and knowing it will be back on the road I have sold it to him .I had already sourced a door and was looking for a good bonnet popped over to see him yesterday and all good ..well a week later it has new wheels a new interior and has passed the MOT with flying colours .... all it needs now is some prep and paintwork we will be seeing this cabby it at some local car shows and meets will put some updated pics up soon Ollie Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
