welshlad
Hi nice car, i would have thought the wiring loom would be slightly different or perhaps not? obv the ecu would have to be changed anyway, the only mk5 i had was a 130 and with new plugs, decent exhaust and k & N it went well its just i prefer mk4's
Guest Royv412
It looks good, and a bargain at that price! i have a mk5 too and ripped out the interior and replaced it with a mk6 it's a great project as long as you have time and patience! Best of luck with the project, keep us updated with your progress!
Guest poslla
hey thanks you guys its true I did get a bargain its got brand new 17s on to which in the grand scheme of things im not keeping ideally looking for some momo arrows the reason I think I maybe got it cheap was the welding on the chasis its only a small hole but seeing as my brother is a welder its no probs

Guest poslla
thanks for the replies just bought a pair of original rs2000 skirts for a bargain price of a whole 1 pound its missing the 2 front jacking covers (any of you kind guys have some can you throw them my way) and a new roof pump I have also put mk 6 mirrors on now which look nicer and the colour green is the 3rd colour with white being original then black then green which was a closed door respray and not very good really so im going back to the original colour of white just wondering if I go the whole hog and completely strip it or get it as good as possible I will post some pics when I have time
Vincygav
RS2000 is a easy swap, not much needed, as it was originally meant to be billed as XR+ You would need engine, fusebox, ecu, and engine accessory loom. The light/indicator loom does not need to be changed as its the same. I have done the same.

Guest poslla
well its been a while but as I have been working but went and had a look at her today well shes greener inside than out so stripped her out front seats completly shot so they got to go so ive got myself 2 rs2000 front seats for a good price but there out of a mk6 shame as the subframes are different so got to do abit of fiddling with them my idea is to either bolt or weld a plate to reach the holes in the floor is this a wise idea any input would be great also my floor was soaked through on the drivers side on closer inspection who ever put the windscreen back in after the respray has not seated it back in properly so theres a gap of about 1-3 cm could I put some sealer in there or maybe get it refitted anyway always great to read and find out stuff wether I need it or not cheers paul
